Muskegon Catholic blanks Fruitport twice in a softball twin bill

The Muskegon Catholic baseball team shutout Fruitport in both of its games, 2-0 and 4-0, in a Lakes 8 doubleheader on Tuesday.

In Game 1, the Crusaders were led by An Pham with two hits while John Sanocki added a hit, RBI and a run scored.

Devin Comes pitched a complete game shutout for Muskegon Catholic, striking out ten batters and allowing four hits.

Jarod Wierengo led the Trojan offense with a double.

In Game 2, Cole Charlesworth and Mason Convertini paced the Crusaders with two hits and a RBI each while Jacob Holt added two hits, two runs scored, and an RBI.

Sanocki allowed two hits while striking out three in a complete game shutout for Muskegon Catholic.

Muskegon Catholic improves to 16-3 overall and 9-1 in league play.
