The Mona Shores boys basketball team withstood a furious Zeeland East comeback and held on for a 66-63 victory on Thursday in the final game of the regular season.

Mona Shores trailed by three points after one quarter, then raced to a 54-39 advantage by the end of the third. Zeeland East fought back, outscoring the Sailors 24-11 in the fourth quarter, but fell short of completing the comeback.

KP Piggue led Mona Shores with 18 points, Jarvis Walker added 17, James Gilbert turned in 16 points and 12 rebounds and DQ Cooper had 12 points and eight rebounds.

Mona Shores finished the regular season with an 8-12 record.
