Ludington absorbs two tough losses to Manistee in Lakes 8 Conference softball

The Ludington softball team dropped two hard fought games to Manistee on Friday, losing 5-1 and 6-0 n Lakes 8 Conference play.

Pitcher Ryan Makowicki took the hard loss in Game 1 while striking out 10 batters. Olivia VerStrat led the offense with two hits, including a double, while Mackenzie Howe had the lone RBI.

Makowicki led the Oriole offense in Game 2, going 3-for-3.

Ludington dropped to 1-11 overall and 1-5 in conference play.
