Mona Shores softball team wins a game by one run, loses one by the same margin

The Mona Shores softball team split its doubleheader with Northview on Monday, winning the opener 4-3 but dropping the nightcap 9-8.

Madison Van Etten pitched the win for the Sailors in Game 1, scattering five hits, while Erika Dakin and Taylor Dew led the offense with two hits apiece.

In Game 2, Veronica Kastelic and Ryleigh Wehler each had three hits in the Mona Shores loss.
