The Shelby girls basketball team pushed their way to a 70-45 win over Montague in a WMC conference game on Thursday.

The Tigers rolled out to a 19-14 first-quarter lead and led 38-26 at halftime.

The third quarter saw more Shelby offense as the Tigers outscored Montague 21-8 to take command of the game.

Jenny Beckman and Tori Mussell led an unstoppable Shelby attack.

Beckman scored a game-high 29 points and had six assists while Mussell tallied 23 points, 17 rebounds, nine steals, three assists and one blocked shot. Jaren Smith had seven steals and two assists for Shelby (15-4, 12-2).
