The Kent City boys basketball team fell to NorthPointe Christian on Wednesday night 56-44 in a Division 3 district semifinal contest.

The Mustangs led early 20-8 and added onto that advantage in the second, taking a 34-18 lead into the halftime break.

The Eagles outscored the Mustangs 26-22 in the second half but couldn’t get closer.

Eli Carlson led the Eagles with 16 points while Brenden Geers chipped in with 11 of his own.

The Eagles end their season with a 11-10 record on the year.
