The Hart girls basketball team used a big third quarter to claim a 54-36 victory over Hesperia in the opening 
round of the Division 3 district tournament at Hesperia High School on Monday.
The Pirates only led 10-8 after one quarter and 25-20 at halftime, but outscored the Panthers 18-8 in the third quarter to gain their margin of victory.
Nicole Rockwell led Hart with 17 points and Jayd Hovey scored 15.
The Pirates advance to play White Cloud on Wednesday in the district semifinals.
