A tough first inning led to the end of the season for the Ravenna baseball team.
The Bulldogs played powerful Pewamo-Westphalia in the Division 3 regional semifinals at Kent City High School on Wednesday, and things went badly from the get-go.
Pewamo-Westphalia scored 11 runs in the first inning on four hits, six walks, a hit batter and three Ravenna errors. In the end the young Ravenna squad lost 13-0, and finished its season with a 16-17 record and a district championship trophy.
Dom Jones led the Ravenna with a single and a double while Tristan Witt had a single.
