The West Michigan Whitecaps wrapped up their six-game home stand on Monday with a 9-1 loss to Kane County.
The Whitecaps fell behind 2-0 in the first inning on Monday before Christopher Proctor singled home Andre Lipcius to cut the Whitecaps deficit to 2-1 in the fifth inning.
In the seventh innig, Kane County added five runs to extend their lead to 7-1.
Kane County added two runs in the eighth inning to ultimately make the final score 9-1.
Lipcius and Jack Kenley led the Whitecaps with two hits each on the night.
The Whitecaps are 30-63 overall on the season now and 9-15 in the second half, eight games behind Bowling Green for first place in the Midwest League Eastern Division second half standings.
On Wednesday, the Whitecaps will open up a series at Beloit with first pitch scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
