The Ravenna football team ran rampant and cruised to a 63-6 win on Friday night against Shelby in a West Michigan Conference game.

The Bulldogs jumped out to a 29-0 lead after the first quarter.

Dalton Hogan opened the scoring with a 46-yard touchdown run, Grant Parker recovered a fumble for a score, Connor Kilbourne threw for a 26-yard touchdown pass to Calvin Schullo and Kilbourne ran for a 51-yard touchdown run.

Ravenna increased its advantage to 49-0 heading into the halftime break.

Kilbourne tossed his second touchdown pass to Schullo from 17 yards out, than ran for a 19-yard touchdown, before Thomas McCullogah closed the first half scoring with a two-yard touchdown run.

The Bulldogs led 55-0 through three quarters after a 1-yard Steven Cook touchdown. Cook closed out the scoring for Ravenna with a 5-yard touchdown run.

Kilbourne was 3-for-4 passing for 77 yards and two touchdowns while rushing for 70 yards on two carries. Hogan ran for 82 yards on four carries.

Ravenna was paced defensively by Cook with five tackles.

The Bulldogs are now 2-1 on the season and 2-0 in conference play. They will travel to face Whitehall next Friday.

Shelby is now 0-3 on the season and will look for its first win next Friday at home against North Muskegon.
