De’Lahna Porter leads Ludington with 15 kills and eight blocks in district opening round victory

The Ludington volleyball team swept Big Rapids in the first round of Division 2 district play Monday night, defeating Big Rapids by scores of 25-21, 25-17 and 25-19.

De’Lahna Porter recorded a team high 15 kills while Elena Vaara added nine kills. Karlee Plamondon contributed a team high 16 assists on the night.

Allison Moore led the defense with 19 digs while Sophia Cooney and Zoee Zatarga followed with 16 and 15 digs respectively. Porter finished with eight blocks.

The Orioles play Cadillac Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Division 2 district semifinals at Big Rapids.
