Vissia, Wachter both register hat tricks in Fremont soccer team’s 8-0 league shutout over Grant

It took a while for the fall sports season to kick off, but the Fremont soccer team wasted little time getting back into the groove of things with an 8-0 victory over Grant on Tuesday in a CSAA league contest.

Grant Vissia and David Wachter both tallied three goals for Fremont, while Marcus Klimek and Conner Roesler posted one goal apiece.

Lane Converse contributed to the effort with two assists, with Wachter, Vissia, Carson Herman and Braiden McDonald adding lone assists.

Fremont held the advantage in shots 16-1. Joe Kortge and Carter Miller split time in net to share the shutout for the Packers.

Fremont is now 1-0 overall and in the conference, while Grant fell to 0-2 overall and 0-1 in conference.
