The Hesperia volleyball squad defeated Hart in three-straight sets on Wednesday in a D3 district semifinal game.

The Panthers won by service scores of 25-14, 25-16 and 25-18.

Emily Bayle led Hesperia with 11 kills while Rachel Romero added nine. Kyra Sayer chipped in with 14 assists.

Adriana Escobedo had nine digs to lead the Panther defense while Romero and Bayle added six apiece.

The Panthers improved to 18-15 overall on the season.

Cassidy Copenhaver led the way for Hart with five kills and an ace, while Avery Beachum also had five kills. Finley Kistler chipped in with eight assists.

Copenhaver paced Hart’s defense with 17 digs and Morland Gamble recorded 16.

The Pirates season ended with a 7-14 overall record.
