Whitehall’s Steve Cullen shot a blistering 70 to easily win the individual competition at the Wildcat Invitational at Old Channel Trail Golf Course on Friday, hosted by Montague High School.

Cullen’s performance helped Whitehall win the tournament with a team score of 338, seven strokes ahead of Lowell. North Muskegon was third with a 357, followed by the Mona Shores JV (368), Montague (369), Pentwater (396), the Montague B team (414), Holton (429), Shelby (443), Orchard View (480), Muskegon Catholic (500) and Hart (520).

Whitehall’s Evan Mikkelson was third individually with an 85, Pentwater’s Andrew Kolenda was fourth with an 86, and North Muskegon’s Jason Bogue was fifth with an 87.

Rounding out the top 10 were North Muskegon’s Brennan Panucci (88), Mona Shores’ Logan Wolters (88), Montague’s Drew Collins (89) and Mona Shores’ James Ackley (89).

Mona Shores wins Forest Hills Central Invitational – The Sailors won the tournament, played at Grand Valley State University, by one shot.

Chase Knowlton shot a 75 and Nicholas Taylor shots a 76 for Mona Shores, and both finished in the top 10 individually.

Rounding out the scoring for the Sailors were Jeff Lenartowicz (82), Owen DeLong (83) and Andrew Taylor (84).
