MANISTEE — Muskegon Heights blew out Manistee for a 58-35 Lakes 8 boys basketball victory at Manistee on Friday.

The Tigers controlled the game from start to finish against a Chippewas team that suffered its fifth-straight loss. Muskegon Heights built a 23-10 second quarter lead and took a 33-20 edge into half.

Scoring fell off some in the third period, with the Tigers outscoring Manistee, 11-7 to enter the fourth quarter with a 44-27 lead. The Tigers had a 14-8 edge in the final eight minutes.

Dennis Dozier led all scores with 10 points coming off the bench for the Tigers. DaJuan Garrett scored eight points and William Davis added seven.

The Tigers improved their record to 4-2 overall and 3-1 in the conference. Muskegon heights will host Ludington on Friday, January 21.
