Mona Shores comes up short against 8th ranked Rockford in Saturday soccer action

NORTON SHORES –The Mona Shores girls soccer team fell short against 8^th ranked Division 1 Rockford by a score of 1-0 on Saturday morning.

The Sailors held on for most of the game but the Rams scored on a penalty kick in the second half to break the scoreless tie.

Goalkeeper Jenna Baker made four saves in the net.

Mona Shores (9-3-2, 6-0-1) will visit Spring Lake on Monday to battle the Lakers in non-conference action.
