MUSKEGON — Ravenna’s baseball team split a West Michigan Conference doubleheader with Oakridge, losing the opener 10-0 and winning the nightcap 2-1 on the road Wednesday night.

In the first game the Eagles scored four runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back, putting up a three-spot in the second.

For the Bulldogs it was T. May taking the loss, allowing eight runs (seven earned) on seven hits, walking two and striking out one. O. Scott pitched two innings of relief and gave up two runs (one earned), walked two and struck out one.

D. Thomas was the leading hitter for the Bulldogs, going 2-for-3. T. McCullough, T. May and D. Mabrito each had one hit.

B. McFarren picked up the win in the circle for the Bulldogs in the nightcap, allowing one run on no hits, walked four and struck out two in 4 1/3 innings. C. Foley threw the last 2 2/3 innings and gave up four hits and one run, striking out two.

McCullough led the way at the plate for Ravenna, going 3-for-3 with two runs scored. May had one hit and Thomas had two RBI with a hit.

Kaelinn Jozsa, Whipple and Willea each had a hit for the Eagles.
