MUSKEGON — Ravenna’s girls softball team defeated Oakridge, 7-4 in the Tier 1 championship game of the Greater Muskegon Athletic Association tournament Saturday.

Leading hitters for the Bulldogs included Addison Gillard who was 3-for-4 and Kendra Denhof who was 2-for-4 with a double.

Emma Gillard, Emma Herremans, Amelia Porter, Maddie Kilbourne, Kara Postema and Ellie Solem each had single hits.

Picking up the win in the pitcher’s circle was Addison Gillard. She gave up four runs on eight hits, one walk and struck out two.

Ravenna defeated Whitehall 10-2 in the first game of pool play as Emma Herremans picked up win in the circle, giving up seven hits, three walks and striking out four.

Herremans led the Bulldogs at the plate, going 3-for-5 with a triple and two doubles, Postema with a double, Kilbourne went 2-for-4 with a double and Solem was 2-for-4 with a double.

Addison Gillard and Emma Gillard each had one hit.

The Bulldogs then beat Reeths-Puffer 12-2 in six innings to advance to the championship game.

Emma Gillard earned the win for the Bulldogs, going four innings and giving up two runs on two hits, walked two and sent four batters down on strikes. Addison Gillard threw the last two innings and gave up two hits, one walk and fanned two.
