Liam Smith scores two goals to lead Reeths-Puffer past Allendale

ALLENDALE –The Reeths-Puffer boys soccer team shutout Allendale 3-0 in the first round of Division 2 district action on Thursday evening.

Liam Smith’s hot streak continued with a two-goal performance. He now has 25 goals on the season.

Nick Clemens added a single score for the Rockets.

Kyler Brainard, Conner Mammen and Owen Ritsema each recorded an assist.

Defensively, Liam McHugh and JT Fansler anchored the Rockets’ back line.

Reeths-Puffer (9-8-2) advances to the district semifinal against Ludington (18-1-1) at 5 p.m. Monday at Coopersville.
