GRAND RAPIDS–The Muskegon Community College Jayhawks suffered a 100-91 setback to the Cornerstone University JV team on Thursday night.

MCC struggled on the boards, being outrebounded 45-31.

Muskegon Community College played a solid first half and led 46-41 at the break. However, the second half belonged to the Golden Eagles as they outscored the Jayhawks 59-45 in the second half, including 33-28 in the last 10 minutes.

Vern Nash III led the Jayhawks with 20 points, four rebounds, two steals, and two assists. Jarvin Graham added 19 points, four assists, and four steals. Jacob May tallied 18 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Jacob Mueller had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Muskegon Community College (5-4) will play Henry Ford Community College on Friday, Dec. 30.
