PENTWATER — Four players scored in double figures and the Pentwater boys basketball team won its fourth straight, defeating Manistee Catholic Central, 69-53, Friday night.

The West Michigan D League game was played in Pentwater.
 
Jonny Arnouts led the Falcons with 20 points. Will Werkema-Grondsma followed with 17 points and 18 rebounds. Mikey Carlson added 13 points and Trey Johnson contributed 11.
 
Matt Gunia scored 12 points to lead the Sabers. Nate Oleniczak put in 11 and Lee Pizana had 10.
 
The Falcons jumped out to a quick 11-2 lead in the first few minutes of the game. But the Sabers turned right around and closed the gap to seven, 16-9, at the end of the first quarter.
 
Pentwater maintained its advantage in the second period, with Arnouts hitting back-to-back 3-pointers to forge a 17-8 advantage and a 33-17 halftime lead.
 
In the third quarter, Pizana kept the Falcons from breaking away by hitting some key jumpers from inside the paint for the Sabers to give them a 22-20 edge.
 
The Falcons led 53-39 after three and outscored the Sabers 16-11 in the fourth period.
 
Pentwater (8-10, 8-6 WMD) travels to Mason County Eastern Wednesday night for another league contest.
