MUSKEGON — The Fruitport Trojan girls and the Orchard View boys were crowned champions in the 2023 GMAA Bowling Tournament Wednesday.

The event was staged at Northway Lanes.

In the girls meet, Fruitport outdistanced runner-up Reeths-Puffer. In the semifinal round, Fruitport advanced to the finals with a victory over Oakridge while Reeths-Puffer earned its berth in the final round with a victory over Holton.

In the boys meet, Orchard View defeated Ravenna and Fruitport took down Mona Shores in the semifinal round.

In the preliminary round for girls, Reeths-Puffer finished first overall with a pinfall of 1,782, followed by Oakridge at 1,662, Fruitport at 1,645 and Holton with 1,599.

In the preliminary round for boys, Fruitport was seeded first with a pinfall of 2,271, followed by Orchard View at 2,220, Ravenna at 2,119 and Mona Shores with 2,065.
