HOLTON–The Hart Pirates capped off a 12-0 league mark on Friday night with a 55-28 victory over the host Holton Red Devils.
Hart finishes the season with a 19-3 overall record while Holton ends its regular season with an 11-11 overall record and a 6-6 league record.
Both teams got off to slow offensive starts as Hart led by only four points, 8-4, at the end of the first quarter. The Pirates increased their lead to 20-1o at the half.
Hart made some halftime adjustments and came out in the third quarter and racked up a 22-8 scoring advantage to take a 42-18 lead into the fourth quarter.
Addi Hovey led Hart with 22 points, 12 rebounds and five steals. Abby Hicks tossed in 13 points, grabbed five rebounds and collected five steals. Marlana VanAgtmael finished with six steals, four rebounds and three assists.
