HART — Despite no goals being scored on either side, the Hart Pirates and Ravenna Bulldogs kept their spectators on the edge of their seats on Wednesday.

The West Michigan Conference game was played at Hart.

Ravenna had one scoring opportunity from the 6-yard box, and one within the defensive box. But the Bulldogs could not finish either chance.

The Pirates had a shot from each corner of the 6-yard box, neither of which they were able to capitalize on.

Ravenna had three shots on target in the second half, only one within the 18-yard box and two outside.

Hart sophomore Brianna Arjona hit the post from just outside the six-yard box and saved by the Bulldog keeper.

Hart keeper Mya Chickering made 5 saves in the tie earning her first varsity shutout.

The Pirates (1-3-3 overall, 0-2-2 WMC) are back in action at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in their home tournament. The Pirates will face Potters House Christian, Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart and Division 1 Kenowa Hills.

Ravenna (1-4-2 overall, 0-3-1 WMC) travels to Muskegon for a non-conference game Friday.
