LUDINGTON–The Ludington Orioles girls soccer team kicked off the season with a home-opening 4-1 loss to the Big Rapids Cardinals in a non-conference matchup.
The game was played at Oriole Field on Tuesday evening.
Maddison Martin scored the only goal for Ludington.
Ludington had eight shots to Big Rapids’ 10.
Grace Ashley played the first half in goal for Ludington and had five saves. Cambria Britton played the second half and had one save.
Ludington (0-1) hosts Traverse City West at 6:45 p.m. Thursday.
