SPRING LAKE–It’s early in the season, but the Spring Laker boys track and team is showing a lot of promise.

In a showdown with the Allendale Falcons on Tuesday, the Lakers posted a 71.5-65.5 victory over the Falcons in an OK-Blue meet.

The victory was secured when 1,600-meter relay team of Caden Kyser, Luke Glasgow, Jaxson Tober and Tanner Guczwa won with a time of 3:32.94.

Another highlight for the Lakers was sweeping the 800m run, with Luke Glasgow, Parker Woodwyk and Grayson Carpenter taking the top 3 places.

Other top performances for Spring Lake included:

  • Jackson Gee – First in the 100m (11.60) and 200m (23.31)
  • Tanner Guczwa – First in the 400m (50.56) 
  • Caden Kyser – Second in the 400m (52.07)
  • Luke Glasgow – First in the 800m (2:10.74)
  • Parker Woodwyk – First in the 1600m (4:48.35)
  • Jaxson Tober – First in the 110m hurdles (16.18) and 300m hurdles (40.30), second in long jump (20-4)
  • 4x200m Relay – Kyser, Darrel Lawrence, Guczwa and Gee (1:33.71)
  • 4x800m Relay – Grevengoed, Lukus Mendoza, Woodwyk, Guczwa
  • Josh Lanka – Second in discus (124-0)
  • Elijah Bolema – Second in pole vault (9-6)
