WHITEHALL — It was a rough Saturday for the Whitehall girls softball team as it dropped all three of its games in a tournament.

The Vikings lost the first game to Spring Lake, 17-9 after carrying a 5-4 lead into the top of the fourth inning. The Lakers scored one run on a stolen base, and then took off.
 
Whitehall collected nine hits at the plate as Hyms and Annabel Kevitch each racked up two hits. Taylor Ottinger had two stolen bases.
 
Megan LeaTrea was the losing pitcher for the Vikings. She worked six innings and allowing 17 runs on 15 hits with four strikeouts.
 
Whitehall lost the next game to Wayland High School, 11-1. The Wildcats put the game away with six runs in the fifth inning.
 
Natalie Manzo, Kevitch and LeaTrea each had one hit for the Vikings.
 
LeaTrea pitched for the Vikings and surrendered 11 runs on 14 hits over 4 1/3 innings. She had one strikeout.
 
The final game was no better for the Vikings, as they lost to Zeeland East, 16-1.
 
Lucy Tucker pitched for the Vikings and gave up 19 hits over 3 2/3 innings.

Evelyn Darke went 2-for-2 to lead Whitehall at the plate.
