MUSKEGON — Shelby’s girls soccer team managed to get past a spirited Orchard View squad 2-0 in a West Michigan Conference game Monday.

The Tiger scored the first goal six minutes into the game when Alyse Erickson scored on a pass from Haylee Pedroza. That was the only goal of the opening half.

Erickson also scored the Tigers second goal, this one on an assist from Kendal Zaverl with just two minutes left in the game.

Shelby (9-9-1) hosts Lakeview in the district tournament Wednesday.

Orchard View takes on Oakridge in the districts on Friday.
