SANDUSKY — The Muskegon Clippers captured yet another series win on Thursday night with a 7-4 victory over the Sandusky Ice Haulers

The victory gave the Clippers two out of three victories in the three-game set against the host Ice Haulers.

Starting pitcher Jack Decker pitched 7 2/3 innings. He allowed one run, two walks and struck out 12.

The Clippers’ nine-hit attack was led by Stoney Smith, Aaron Piasecki and Aidan Arbogast with two hits each. Smith had a triple and knocked in two runs. Arbogast also notched two RBI.

The Clippers scored a single run in the third, four in the fifth, one in the sixth and one in the eighth in running their season record to 10-1. One of the fifth-inning runs came home on Smith’s triple.

The Clippers return home on Friday and Saturday night to take on the Michigan Monarchs at historic Marsh Field. Both games begin at 7:05 p.m.
