MUSKEGON– The Kent City Eagles opened the season on Monday with a 3-2 victory over the Orchard View Cardinals.
 
The visiting Eagles controlled possession of the ball in the opening half and grabbed a 2-0 lead.
 
David Copado-Perez scored on a header off a corner kick from Alfredo Bolanos-Colin just five minutes into the game. In the final minute of the half, Kent City struck again when a free kick by Bolanis-Colin was tipped in by Ben Garcia.
 
In the second half, the Cardinals mounted an attack and pulled to within 2-1 in the opening minute of the half. But, Bolanis-Colin scored on a hard shot from the right side that made it 3-1 for Kent City.
 
OV scored a goal in the 20th minute to make it 3-2.
