CADILLAC — Three different players scored goals and the Ludington boys soccer team evened its record at 2-2 on the season with a 3-0 shutout at Cadillac Tuesday night.

Parker Wendt tallied the first Orioles’ goal in the first minute of the game, Ultan Ryan made it 2-0 with a goal a minute into the second half and Spencer Holmes punched one in the last minute of the contest.

Holmes also contributed two assists.  Ludington outshot the Vikings, 28-11. Gabe Gomez and Caleb Sheldon combined for the shutout.

“I’m pretty pleased with where we’re at here as we get started with the tough schedule we have here in August,” said Ludington coach Kris Anderson. “We maintained possession all game long. We struggled to put the ball in the net. We had 28 shots, and their keeper made 25 saves. Some of it was we just didn’t put it in very great spots.”

Ludington travels to Hart for a West Michigan Conference game Monday.
