SPARTA –– In a game that started on Thursday and ended on Friday, the Oakridge Eagles opened the football season with a 27-15 victory over the Sparta Spartans.
Bad weather forced the game to be postponed on Thursday and continued on Friday.
The Eagles rushed for 260 yards on 47 carries and 91 yards through the air on 3-for-9 passing.
Oakridge hosts Hudsonville Unity Christian on Thursday night.
