Fruitport runs over Montague in non-league soccer match

FRUITPORT – The Fruitport boys soccer team cruised by Montague on Thursday evening, 8-0.

Taylen Acocks and Brady Brown each scored two goals while Ryan Mitchell, Issac Vandermolen, Grade Anspach and Jorge Burgos Yack each scored a goal.

Goalkeeper Logan Werschem posted the shutout with three saves.

Fruitport (12-2-2, 4-2-1) will host Hamilton on Monday in an OK Conference-Blue match. 

Montague (8-8, 4-4) visits Ravenna on Monday.
