HOLLAND – The Fruitport boys soccer team dropped its first match of the season to end their six-game win streak on Thursday.

The Trojans fell to Holland Christian in OK Conference-Blue play, 2-0.

“I thought we held up in a tough environment,” said Fruitport coach Hazekamp. “Holland Christian is a really solid team and some of the details that we can clean up will help us as we move through the season.”

Despite the loss, Brady Brown, Sam Krueger, Isaiah Packard and Braxton Ward gave strong efforts, according to Hazekamp.

Fruitport (6-1, 1-1) travels to Allendale on Wednesday.
