GRAND HAVEN – The Mona Shores girls golf team had the privilege of honoring one of its own at the First Captain Sally Golf Invitational.

The event was played at American Dunes.

The Sail0rs honored Claudia Johson for her service to our country.

In the golf meet, the Sailors finished seventh among the 12 teams. The field was represented by some of the best teams from the state of Michigan in all divisions.

Leading the way for Mona Shores was Mayson Southland, who shot a 92 and finished 18th overall. Laniee Carmean finished with a 102 and took 35th overall. 

Shores faces another conference match and the city meet later this week.
