Mona Shores sweeps by GR Union in OK-Green volleyball

GRAND RAPIDS – The Mona Shores volleyball team made quick work of Grand Rapids Union to remain perfect in OK Conference-Green play on Tuesday.

The Sailors sailed to victory in three sets, 25-7, 25-4 and 25-8.

Kyann Hellmann led the way with 28 assists, six aces and three kills while Grace Allen added nine kills and four aces. Mallory Hogston and Kyli Geoghan scored five and four aces, respectively. Jersey VanderWall chipped in six kills and Izzy Sturtevant had eight digs.

Mona Shores (21-3, 5-0) will face Zeeland West on Thursday at home in a battle of unbeatens in the league.
