Muskegon Community College loses to GRCC in league volleyball action

GRAND RAPIDS – The Muskegon Community College volleyball team dropped its Eastern Conference opener to Grand Rapids Community College on Tuesday evening.

The Jayhawks lost in three sets, 24-26, 15-25 and 14-25.

Madisyn Dykema had 16 kills while Kaitlynn Bennett had five kills, four digs, two aces and two blocks. Leah Ellis added 26 assists and Ana Trevino had three kills and two blocks.

Defensively, Kendra Kieft and Peyton Johnson made 10 and nine digs, respectively. 

Muskegon Community College will be at home on Thursday for league play against Montcalm Community College.
