Western Michigan Christian swept doubles action against North Muskegon on Tuesday to earn a 6-2 tennis victory.

The Warriors saw the No. 1 doubles team of Levi Dutton and Daniel Moorhead defeat Zach Mallon and Luke Toebe in an entertaining match: 6-2, 5-7, 10-5. At No. 2, Luke Vanderwall and Alex Meyette topped North Muskegon’s Zach Rumley and Chase Yeager in straight sets: 6-4, 6-1.

Noah VanWoerkom and Josue Sandoval prevailed by default at No. 3 doubles, while Nathan Clausing and Zach Weare shut out the Norsemen’s Logan Eerbeek and Andrew Proksa; 6-0, 6-0.

In singles action, the Warriors’ Jonas Dutton and Derek Vander Wall each needed three sets to claim victories at No. 2 and No. 3 singles, respectively. Dutton defeated the Norse’s Carter Mieler, 4-6, 7-6 (3), 11-9; while Vander Wall edged Logan Stack: 1-6, 7-5, 10-4.

North Muskegon’s victories came at No. 1 singles, where Luke Hall defeated WMC’s William Liggett, 6-1, 6-1. Kaden Bartolameolli claimed the win at No. 4, topping Samuel Kuiper: 6-4, 3-6, 12-10.
