GRANT – In a battle of the Tigers, it was Grant that prevailed, dominating Shelby in a 79-34 win at home on Tuesday.

Things got out of hand early as Grant built a 25-13 lead in the first quarter, extending the differential to 17 points at halftime. Grant poured it on in the third quarter, pushing their lead to 67-28 before cruising to the finish line.

Grant got plenty of contributions on the scoreboard as nine different players scored. Oakley Obenauf led the way with 18 points while Lucas Swanson added 17. Sincere Hatch scored 11 points with Ethan DeLong and Blake Rider each chipping in eight points.

Grant (4-1, 2-0 CSAA) has now won four straight after a season-opening loss to Ludington in November. The Tigers will host Reed City on Friday.

Shelby (1-4, 0-1 WMC Rivers) dropped their third straight. Shelby will look to get right on Thursday when they host Ravenna for a conference matchup.
