GRAND RAPIDS – The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team struggled early in a 100-71 loss to the Cornerstone University jayvee team.
MCC (3-5) fell behind 56-40 at the half thanks to some turnovers that the Eagles converted into points.
It was the first time this season the Jayhawks played games on back-to-back nights. The Jayhawks defeated Calvin University’s jayvee team on Tuesday night.
On Wednesday, it was another story as the Jayhawks struggled with Cornerstone’s balanced attack.
Isaac DeHart led the Jayhawks with 21 points. Jadakiss Lewis added 20. Ben Clark added 10 points, 10 rebounds and six assists.
Muskegon Community College hosts the Alma College jayvee at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Bartels-Rode Gymnasium.
