The Fruitport Calvary boys’ basketball team allowed the last five points in a 49-44 loss to Saugatuck on Friday night.

The game was deadlocked 44-44 with two minutes to go before the Eagles allowed Saugatuck to earn the victory.

“Points and rebounds were hard to come by tonight”, said Fruitport Calvary coach Brad Richards.  “We’ll keep working hard to improve.”

Sam Zelenka paced the Eagles with 23 points and three steals while Bradley Richards added 19 points, 16 rebounds and six assists.

Fruitport Calvary is now 5-3 on the season.
