MUSKEGON – Despite a strong double-double of 18 rebounds and 15 points from Oakridge’s Anna Lundquist, the Whitehall girls basketball team earned a 43-31 victory on Thursday.
The Eagles stayed a step ahead throughout most of the and led 29-26 after three quarters. However, the Vikings dug in and fired off a 17-2 scoring run to steal the WMC-Lakes win.
The Eagles’ Kaelinn Jozsa chipped in nine rebounds and seven points.
Whitehall (2-5, 1-3) will be at home against Fremont on Tuesday for a conference matchup.
Oakridge (1-5, 1-3) is set to take a short trip to Muskegon Catholic Central on Tuesday.
