MUSKEGON – The Muskegon Community College men’s basketball team had its hands full against the high-scoring Bay College Norse on Saturday.

In the end, the Jayhawks dropped a 76-72 decision at Bartels-Rode Gymnasium.

Poor shooting in the opening half led to a seven-point deficit for MCC at the half, 36-29.

The game went back and forth throughout the second half with the Jayhawks grabbing a lead with seven minutes remaining.

However, Bay College (15-2) regrouped and held its composure down the stretch and earned the four-point victory.

The Jayhawks (5-10, 1-1) were led by Jadakiss Lewis with 15 points and four rebounds. Darius Williams added 14 points and Ben Clark had 12 points, nine rebounds and five assists.

The Jayhawks play at Grand Rapids Community College on Wednesday.
