NORTH MUSKEGON – The North Muskegon girls basketball team came together to crush West Michigan Aviation Academy 62-22 on Wednesday.

“I’m proud of a balanced team effort, and lots of selflessness tonight,” said Norse coach Jill Young. “We had five players with seven, eight or nine points and had a couple of selfless guards who are just happy to pass it and help out.”

Allie Jensen led the way with 15 points and four rebounds. Delaney Young scored nine points and grabbed five rebounds, while Emma Buchmiller added nine points and three steals. Marilyn Gaston chipped in eight points and six rebounds. Abbie Wiegers threw in eight points.

“We are blessed and I’m just so thankful for so many seniors who decided to believe in and stick with Lady Norse basketball,” Young said. “They are the difference in this team.”

North Muskegon (4-2, 2-1) will host Western Michigan Christian on Thursday.
