FREMONT – Will DeBlake put up 21 points and led the Fremont boys’ basketball team to their fourth straight victory on Thursday evening.

The Packers gained the lead and held off Orchard View, 58-50, in WMC-Lakes play.

“We continue to improve and the boys are working extremely hard,” said Fremont coach Adam Bowen. “We still have to clean up some things, but we are definitely headed in the right direction as a team.” 

Chaz Miller filled a stat line with 15 points, six assists, four rebounds and three steals, while Ben Mellema scored 13 points.

Fremont (5-6, 2-3) will be at Whitehall on Tuesday for a league matchup.

Orchard View (3-9, 1-4) will also see conference play on Tuesday as they play host to Ludington.
