It was a Senior Night celebration for the Hart Pirates with big victory over Hesperia

 

 

HART – The Hart Pirates celebrated Senior Night with a 74-29 victory over Hesperia on Tuesday night.

 

Hart led 8-3 after the first quarter, but then the floodgates opened and the Pirates cruised to the victory. Hart led 32-15 at the half and 57-24 after three quarters.

The Panthers were plagued by turnovers, thanks to the pressure defense of Hart.

 

Blake Weirich led Hart with 21 points, including five 3-pointers in the third quarter. Caleb Ackley added 16 points and 14 rebounds, including six on the offensive end. Juniors Ty Schlukebir and Brendan Hiddema also hit double figures with 10 points each. 

 

Nicholas Guarnieri led Hesperia with nine points. Ethan O’Neil had eight rebounds.

 

Hart plays its final regular-season game on Thursday against Mason County Central.
