LUDINGTON — Ludington bounced back from a loss in its last game with a 74-56 victory over the Orchard View Cardinals.

The Orioles lost to Whitehall on Friday night.

On Tuesday, Ludington jumped out to a 13-point lead in the first quarter and kept the lead the rest of the night. The game, a West Michigan Conference Lakes Division contest, was played at Ludington’s Hawley Gymnasium.

David Shillinger paced a balanced Ludington offensive attack with 25 points, 13 coming in the first half as the Orioles built a 31-16 lead. Gage Jones also scored in double figures, netting 13 on the night after tossing in nine in the first half.

Delaney Oakes scored 20 points for the Cardinals, while Cari Flowers added 11.

Ludington upped its record to 14-6 overall and 9-2 in the conference. The Orioles host Manistee in another conference matchup on Thursday.

Orchard View dropped its record to 4-16 overall, 1-10 in the conference. The Cardinals host Fremont Thursday night in the conference.
