Reeths-Puffer takes eighth place at MHSAA Competitive Cheer State Finals

MOUNT PLEASANT – The Reeths-Puffer Rocket competitive cheer team capped off their season on Saturday with an eighth-place finish at the MHSAA Division 2 Competitive Cheer Finals.

The Rockets were last in the state finals two years ago when they finished seventh.

On Saturday, the Rockets posted a three-round score of 745.02. Reeths-Puffer opened with a 226.40 in the opening around and a 212.32 in the second round. In the final round, the Rockets posted a 306.30.

Allen Park claimed the state title at 793.34, followed by Carleton Airport (779.92), Dearborn Divine Child (779.84) Gibralter Carlson (778.10), Cedar Springs (769.08), Thornapple Kellogg (769.00), Plainwell (762.06) and Reeths-Puffer.
