NORTON SHORES – The Western Michigan Christian baseball team cruised to a doubleheader sweep over Wyoming Lee on Monday evening. Cody Folkema led the way with a no-hitter in the opener.

The Warriors won game one, 13-1, and game two, 7-2.

Folkema was making his first appearance on the mound for the Warriors.

Quint Menefee had two hits, one a double, two walks, three runs and two RBI. Nathan Clausing, Luke Maat and Jack Sipe each had two hits and scored three runs. Caleb McKay added one hit, one run and one RBI, while Mat Miller drove in two runs with a double.

Sam Kuiper earned the win on the mound in the nightcap with six strikeouts. Clausing came in for the closing innings at relief.

Caleb McKay had three hits, one a triple, scored three runs and an RBI. Miller chipped in two hits, one run and two RBI, while Alex Wagenmaker drove in two runs with a single. Kuiper, Liggett and Leif McKay each added a hit.

WMC will be at home against Montague for a twinbill on Thursday.
