MUSKEGON – The Oakridge baseball team topped Whitehall, 6-4, in West Michigan Conference play on Friday.

The game was the completion of a previous game that was halted due to darkness.

Brody Jennings was sharp on the mound for the Eagles and allowed just two runs and a walk. He had 11 strikeouts.

The Vikings’ Brock Morningstar gave up six hits, five runs, a walk and struck out three batters. Kyle Stratton allowed one hit.

Julian Primmer led the Eagle offense with two hits and four runs scored. Vitek Benes and Evan Miller each scored two runs.

For Whitehall, Stratton added two hits and two runs, while Eli Winters had two hits. Isaac Van Amberg and Nate Betz each chipped in a hit and an RBI.

Oakridge will be at home on Tuesday for league play with Fremont.

Whitehall hosts Zeeland East and Bay City John Glenn on Saturday.
